How summoner levels work

Every League of Legends game grants account XP, and there is no level cap — the accounts on this board have been levelling since as far back as the game's early seasons. Reaching the top of this list takes tens of thousands of games; the very highest accounts have effectively treated levelling itself as the endgame.

Our worker continuously re-checks every listed account against the Riot API by its permanent PUUID, so the board follows players through name changes and even region transfers. Click any name to check it in the name checker, or view its full name history in the tracker.

Frequently asked questions

How often is the leaderboard updated?

Continuously — the refresh worker cycles through all tracked accounts around the clock, updating levels, icons, names and regions as it goes.

Why isn't a high-level account listed?

The board only knows accounts it has seen. If you know an account that belongs here, look it up in the checker — high-level accounts get picked up over time.

What are mastery points?

Champion mastery points measure how much someone has played a single champion — the mastery board ranks each account's most-played champion, which is where the famous multi-million-point one-tricks show up.

How is time played calculated?

It's an estimate derived from account level: XP is earned per minute played, so level maps almost linearly to time in game (about nine hours per level). Individual accounts vary with queue types and XP boosts, but the ranking is reliable — and it means the number stays current for every account our worker refreshes.
